On those plans, message-taking is the fallback, not the product. On Essentials ($19), message-taking is the product: every message, booking requests included, is emailed to you to action.

From Starter, callers are offered your next available business-hours time and booked into it, and genuine emergencies can be put through to the number you chose if you've turned that on — it doesn't send anyone out at 2am. That number is yours to use for as long as you're subscribed, and if you ever leave we hold it for 30 days. If you want to take it with you, we'll help you try to port it, but we cannot promise a number we supplied can be ported.
