What these businesses have in common

Every practice on this list runs in restricted mode. The receptionist books the appointment type and hears as little as possible: nothing clinical discussed, nothing clinical written, no recording kept. Patients can ask for their own practitioner by name. A practice whose software we can't read can run in requests-only mode. And if a caller describes danger to life or limb, the practice chooses how that call is handled. The medical page has the full rules.

Give it a go

Sixty minutes of call time on us, for a week. Card up front, nothing charged, and the clock doesn't start until your receptionist answers its first call. Setup takes minutes, and divert is one dial code.

Straight answers

What is restricted mode?
The receptionist books the appointment type and takes a call-back with one word on urgency. Nothing clinical is discussed or written, no recording is kept, and it gives no health advice of any kind.
Does it work with our practice software?
Through a calendar feed any calendar app reads. For software with no feed, such as Best Practice or MedicalDirector, requests-only mode sends booking requests to your desk instead.
What happens in an emergency?
The practice chooses at signup and on its settings page: the default is to tell the caller to contact emergency services themselves and text the owner; or put them through to the practice's own emergency number first; or say the practice's own sentence first. It never contacts emergency services itself.
